5 Day Inspiring Continuing Education for Medical Professionals

The Care from the Heart continuing education program was developed nearly eight years ago by a team of medical professionals, HR professionals, and trainers who have been contributing to the healthcare landscape for years. They provide healthcare professionals with insights and tools through continuing education activities to enhance the expertise of specialists who wish to re-register.
For years, there has been a strong need among this target group to support them in developing and maintaining the required competencies required in healthcare. Meeting these competencies is a daily challenge in a field characterized by numerous conflicts of interest, high workloads, and safety requirements.

What will be covered?
An important first step for the medical professional is to know how his or her life, thought patterns and assumptions work.
During this 5-day Care from the Heart program, physicians will gain insights that will help them see with fresh eyes what works and what doesn't in their lives and how this affects the communication of healthcare professionals, both with patients and fellow professionals.
One "wakes up," awakening from old thoughts and stuck patterns. Awakening means becoming alive, gaining consciousness. This enables the physician to make safe choices, allowing them to look at patterns in communication with clarity.
If the physician is able to break his or her patterns, he or she is able to be there for others, i.e. patients and colleagues, thus enabling safe and socially responsible care to be provided.
Program components
The above is achieved through unique tuning of various components.
The Balint Intervision method is alternated with Science about the determinants of diseases and health promotion and effective communication training modules .
In addition, there is room for Mind & Body sessions and the training takes place in a unique natural location in Portugal (Algarve).

You can receive 21 accreditation points for this continuing education program through ABAN.
For Care from the Heart the maximum number of participants is 16 people .

The center
The center has 3 spacious double rooms with private bathrooms, a dorm for 1-4 participants and a number of beautiful Tiny Houses that have two single bedrooms and a luxurious bathroom shared.
These tiny houses have a private terrace with a view from the mountain over the south coast.
The center has an organic pond, which is located in the beautiful flower garden, in which various retreat areas are nestled.
There is also a saltwater swimming pool where you can relax for parts of the day.
The location has a yoga room both indoors and on a deck where sessions can take place in good weather.
